Clunk !!
The toss was lost again and it seemed the biggest influence on the game again for the second week in a row.
At 58-1 there seemed to be a thought of a big score even though the openers had struggled to get to this point.
Hardy and Matthews bowled a lively opening spell keeping Jordan, Tyers and Elliott on the back foot for most
of the time with runs coming from loose balls as the field was in from the start. Many ball beat the edge all day
getting very big off just short of a length. Anthony and Jenkins replaced the openers and ripped through the
middle order using the wicket very well. Elliott fell to Jenkins for 32 which turned out to be the biggest score
of the day. Anthony finished with 6-14 and Jenkins 3-1. 95 all out in 36 overs!
Tea was superb
In reply Andy Morgan beat the bat with swing, whilst Daryl Goff beat the edge with the excessive lift and seam
movement. No one found batting easy all day. Robin Lines bowled with great pace and hostility on the bowler
friendly track, there will be many Tadworth batsmen with reminders of the day on their bodies for the next few
days. 31 overs it took the hosts to over haul the total, Tim Bennett top scoring with 30.
A hard days cricket.
NORTH HOLMWOOD 95 all out lost to TADWORTH 95 for 5
